Abstract
Microbiology involves the study of micro-organisms which can be defined as living creatures so small that individuals cannot be seen without the aid of a microscope. Based on this definition, we can describe bacteria, viruses, rickettsiae, chlamdia, mycoplasma, fungi and microscopic parasites such as protozoa as micro-organisms.
