Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) (formerly known as National Clinical Research Centre) is one of the six research institutes under the National Institute of Health (NIH) Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), which has been operational since August 2000. ICR functions as the clinical research arm of the MOH. It has 37 branches at major MOH hospitals (Hospital CRC) and National Cancer Institute. Its headquarter is located at NIH, Setia Alam.
The Institute for Health Behavioural Research (IPTK) is one of the sixth Institute under the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Research and Technical Support Program, Ministry of Health Malaysia. IPTK was established in 2005, known as the Institute for Health Promotion (IPH) and was converted to IPTK in 2007. Conducting research in the areas of health behavior (especially qualitative research), training and consultancy services in the field of health promotion, health communication, and communication risk. The results help in improving health promotion programs through policies and activities to improve population health.
Institute for Health Management (IHM) (Institut Pengurusan Kesihatan, IPK) traces its roots back to a small division under the Institute of Public Health known as the Management Training Division. IHM was proposed under the 6th Malaysia Plan (1991-1995) as one of the six institutes under the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Institute for Public Health (IKU) is one of the research institutes under National Institutes of Health, Ministry of Health. IPH focuses on public health research. In line with the restructuring of health care system of Malaysia towards 1 Care, IKU will strengthen its research capacity to support the Ministry of Health in the planning of the health care delivery for the country.
The Research Information Resource Sector (NIH Library) is a library under the supervision of the NIH Manager's Office, the National Institutes of Health, the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) is a body appointed by the Ministry of Health Malaysia to carry out the process of assigning classification numbers and submission centers issued by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
